Afterwards, the dead body of the victim was seen on the ground.

“As to the motive (of the suspect)… tinitingnan nila (referring to the police) ay may kinalaman sa personal na problema ng pamilya, particularly sa mag-asawa,” PRO3 Regional Director and PNP Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said.

(As to the motive… the angle they’re looking is that this has something to do with a personal family problem, particularly with the couple. )

When pressed about rumors about the suspect having postpartum depression, Fajardo answered, “Isa yun sa tinitingnan.”

(That’s also another angle they’re looking.)

“Base sa interview at investigation isinagawa ng Angeles Police Office na prior to the incident ay napapansin na diumano ng mga kasama sa opisina ng ating babaeng pulis na medyo balisa at may dinaramdam at tulala.”

This measure is important as the country remains on the radar of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) for fraudulent medical products, said GS1 Philippines, the leading organization for implementing local barcode standards.

The Japanese Embassy in Manila provided the grant to the Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc., which will lead the capacity-building programs for beneficiary farmers.

(Based on the interview and investigation done by the Angeles Police Office, prior to the incident, officemates of the wife would notice that she was anxious, not feeling well and staring into the void.)

After hearing the shooting incident, the witness reportedly went back to his home to call the authorities and then returned to the couple’s home.

“(Referring to the witness) Doon nya nakita na yung baril ay hawak-hawak na nitong kanyang misis. Ang ginawa niya ay pinuntahan niya yung isang kapitbahay na pulis para humingi ng tulong,” she said.

(That’s when the witness saw that the gun was being held by the wife. The witness then went to their neighbor, who was a police officer, to ask for help.)

The gun was secured while the suspect was taken into police custody.

The alleged assailant also underwent an inquest.

Meanwhile, the victim was rushed to a medical center in Angeles City. There, he was declared dead.

Initial physical examination found gunshot wounds on the back of the his head and the upper portion of his forehead.

PRO3 confirmed that the firearm recovered at the scene was the suspect’s issued weapon.

Police are getting the results of a ballistics examination to establish if it was the same gun used to kill the owner, who was the victim.

The couple had three children who are currently under the care of the victim’s sibling, who is a police lieutenant colonel.

The eldest of the kids is 11-years-old while the youngest is two.

“Medyo mabigat ito, so humihingi ng pang-unawa yung pamilya ng magkabilang partido na hangga’t maaari ay itahimik na lamang ang pag-iimbestiga,” Fajardo said.

(This is rather heavy, so the families of both sides are seeking understanding that, as much as possible, the investigation is to be kept low profile.)

“We want to assure yung family ng namatay na pulis na wala tayong pagtatakpan dito at gumugulong yung imbestigasyon at papapanagutin natin kung sino ang maysala,” Fajardo said.
