Chhattisgarh captain Amandeep Khare won the toss and opted to bowl first against Rinku Singh's Uttar Pradesh in the fourth round of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 at Vizzy Stadium, Vizianagaram on Saturday (December 28satta9, 2024).

Both teams have had three outings so far and registered one win each. Chhattisgarh's opener against Mizoram was abandoned. It was followed by a 13-run win over Chandigarh in a rain-affected match. In their last outing, they suffered an eight-wicket defeat against Vidarbha.
Uttar Pradesh' opener, against Jammu and Kashmir, was also washed out. But they hammered minnows Mizoram by nine wickets before suffering a 114-run defeat against Tamil Nadu.
Unbeaten Vidarbha, who opted to bowl against Chandigarh today, lead the seven-team group with two wins in two. Tamil Nadu are second, and are up against Jammu and Kashmir.
