India were in a spot of bother, both while batting and bowling, but bounced back in style to eke out a clinical victory. The stars of the win were Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube who both scored fifties with the bat and the bowlers who put out a collective performance.

Earlier, England skipper Jos Buttler had won the toss for the first time in the series and opted to bowl first.

England were off to a stunning start with Saqib Mahmood giving India a triple blow in the second over. Mahmood got the wickets of Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson in his first over of the tour to become the first man to bowl a triple-wicket maiden in T20Is.

With three down in the second over, Abhishek Sharma and Rinku Singh stitched a small partnership before both of them were dismissed by the 11th over.

India were struggling at 79/5 in 10.4 overs when Hardik joined Dube at the crease. After a slow start, both of them went berserk and raised crucial fifties to take India to 181/9 in 20 overs.

England yet again pushed India on the backfoot right at the start of the chase. English openers Ben Duckett and Phil Salt went on a four-scoring spree and churned out boundaries at will in the powerplay. Duckett was the main agressor before being dismissed for 19-ball 39 on the last ball of the powerplay. However, he had pushed England's score to 62 in the first six overs.

After that, Indian spinners took over and apart from Harry Brook, no other English batter could put up a meaningful resistance. England's hopes took a massive hit when Brook departed at 51 in the 15th over. The visitors kept losing wickets after that and were eventually bundled out for 166 in 19.4 overs.

India, the most successful team in the competition, now have five titles, including back-to-back triumphs in 2023 and 2024. The victory adds to their bronze medal secured at the Paris Olympic Games last month.

After a goalless first quarter, Korea struck just 36 seconds into the second quarter with Jungjun Lee finding the net due to a mistake from Pakistan goalkeeper Abdullah Ishtiyaq Khan. The goal remained the difference between the two teams till the half-time.

Ravi Bishnoi picked up three wickets and the in-form Varun Chakravarthy took two wickets. Harshit Rana, who came in as a substitute for Shivam Dube who suffered a concussion, also picked up three wickets.

The final game of the series takes place on Sundayhola play, February 2 in Mumbai.
