The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital and had to undergo surgery due to his injuries. Police officials stated that the actor had two deep cuts, with one close to the spinal cord.
Saif Ali Khan Stabbed At Home | The Case So FarAs per the latest update, the actor has been shifted to the ICU. Khan underwent two surgeries to treat the injuries. Doctors at Lilavati Hospital has stated that the condition of the actor is stable after surgery.
Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital after the attack. Police officials say he was stabbed by the burglar during a scuffle between the two. Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan reportedly rushed his father to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw.
The actor underwent neurosurgery and plastic surgery for his wounds. Dr Nitin Dange, the consultant neurosurgeon who performed the surgery on Khan, told news agency ANI that the surgery was done to remove a 2.5-inch-long knife from the actor's spine and repair his ‘leaking spinal fluid’.
Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the incident. As per officials, the attacker, who was not spotted on CCTV cameras, entered the house through the fire escape staircase.

Reports further add that a female staff member also sustained injuries while trying to fight off the attacker. The domestic help is now being questioned at the Bandra Police Station.
Numerous political reactions have poured in after the attack on Sail Ali Khan with Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal alleging a Lawerence Bishnoi gang link to the attack.
Notable, this attack on Saif Ali Khan comes after the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and multiple death threats issued to actor Salman Khan, all traced back to Lawerence Bishnoi and gang.
