MANILA, Philippines — With reigning MVP Brooke Van Sickle taking precautions, Myla Pablo joined hands with Aiza Maizo-Pontillas to hold the fort for Petro Gazz in a comeback win over Chery Tiggo in the PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday.
Pablo admitted they started on the wrong foot as they adjusted to Van Sickle not playing as a starter, dropping the first two sets and falling to the brink of defeat against the gritty Crossovers.
Article continues after this advertisementPablo and Pontillas scored 18 points each while Van Sickle caught fire in the fifth as Petro Gazz pulled off a 20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-15, 15-7 victory at Philsports Arena.

“The first two sets talagang parang nangangapa kami, hindi namin alam anong dapat naming gawin, anong kulang. Pero nagstick kami kung anong sinabi ng coaches namin kung saan ang palo, doon lang para hindi magkagulo gulo yung depensa sa likod,” said Pablo, who had 15 kills and three blocks.

Ang hirap din kasi kapag nahinto ka tas back to training,” Pablo said. “Mindset ko this 2025, hinding hindi ko pababayaan yung sarili ko papakundisyon ako kasi kailangan din ako ng team this year.”
