Luis Diaz and Mohammed Salah both scored twice, with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai also getting on the scoresheet as Liverpool moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
It is the 21st time the Reds have been top of the English top flight on Christmas Day; the most of any side. They have gone on to win the title in 11 of those previous 20 seasons (55%).
It was an impressive performance from Slot's side, whose expected goals (xG) total of 4.6 in this match is their second-highest ever recorded in an away Premier League match (4.54 against Leeds United in September 2021).
Tottenham 3-6 Liverpool: Egyptian Hotshot Mo Salah Revels In Premier League Records"It was a spectacular game to watch," Slot told BBC Sport. "For 60 minutes, we did everything we had to do. We were comfortable and good with the ball, but the main thing is we worked very, very hard.
"But then the same players with the same quality thought that 10 or 15 minutes of not working as hard was good enough.
"Tottenham have enough quality to score goals if you give them chances. You have to be on top of your game for the whole game, and we didn't do that."

— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) December 22, 2024This is the sixth Premier League season in which Salah has both scored and assisted 10 or more goals (15 goals, 11 assists), the most of any player in the competition's history.
It is also the seventh time he has scored and assisted in a Premier League game this season, already the joint-most by a player in a single campaign.
The Egyptian now leads the race for the Golden Boot, and Slot was once again pleased with his performance.
After a goalless first quarter, Korea struck just 36 seconds into the second quarter with Jungjun Lee finding the net due to a mistake from Pakistan goalkeeper Abdullah Ishtiyaq Khan. The goal remained the difference between the two teams till the half-time.

"I think he's always shown in all the years he's played for Liverpool that he scores a lot of goals, but even by his standards, this may be a bit more than what he usually does," the Dutchman added.
"We need his goals because we conceded three today as well. So, let's hope he can continue doing this. But of course, it's his quality, because if he gets into position, he scores the goal.
"But I also have to give credit to the team because they always get him into good positionscgebet, and it led to two goals and two assists. It could maybe have led to more if you look at all the times he got into those positions, but maybe I want a bit too much now."
